Cocktails & Martinis

Cocktails & Martinis has facebook page and blog. However the main site running is the blogshop (Cocktails & Martinis Blog). Facebook page is more of updates.

Some information about them which can be seen on their facebook page (Cocktails & Martinis Facebook Page)

Contact : email
Updates : every Sunday (9.30pm) and mini update on Thursday (9.30pm)
Bank : Maybank, Public Bank and CIMB
Delivery : FREE POSLAJU delivery nationwide
Wide range of clothes. You can get casual, working, girlish and cocktail dresses.
Cocktails & Martinis RM65.00
Cocktails & Martinis RM75.00
No mannequin pictures. All dresses are modeled by models. Model is quite standard size, not too slim. Prices generally range from RM60-RM75. Given that they are giving away free poslaju delivery,  I think the prices are fair.

However, pay attention to some of the clothes though as you can see it at other blogshops. Aside from wanting to get the best deal, you have to always remember that it is not a good sign if a lot of other blogshops are selling the same design. This will only mean that there will be more people out there wearing the same dress as you. Well, unless you really fancy that design, then go ahead.

For example, the latest upload at Cocktails & Martinis, this dress is also spotted at Curves Boutique (10th May), IIvory Couture (18th May) and lately Doublewoot (27th May) and who knows which other sites might be selling it later on.
Curves Boutique - RM85.00 (normal) RM70.00 (online price)
IIvory Couture RM70.00
Doublewoot RM70.00
Doublewoot RM70.00
Cocktails & Martinis RM 75.00
Cocktails & Martinis RM 75.00
Cocktails & Martinis RM 75.00
Cocktails & Martinis hasnt been checking on their competitors? Latest to sell but selling it at the highest price!

And ladies, look at the design of the dress! Pretty YES Special YES but how embarrassing it will be if you saw someone wearing the same dress as well? If it is a plain black dress, you can still get away with it cause its too simple! Glam up with some necklace and belt and you will be safe BUT THIS? Even a kid can see that its the same.

Anyone own this dress and feeling bad now? Sorry mate!

Leneys

Leneys, owned by page owner Leney JinLee operates their online shop via facebook page.

Leneys Facebook Page
Their info states that they have a blog but I clicked on it and its no longer available. So I think they mainly operate through their facebook page.
Leneys Information
You can order via SMS, fb comments or email. I'm curious if the email still works because the website is no longer there.
Leneys clothes are mostly girlish, you can kinda expect that with the pinkish background. The model you see is the owner of the page.

Their prices are reasonable, actually its considered cheap for online shopping and the best thing is, they are giving free delivery now for purchase of 2 pieces and above. You can expect their prices to be from RM55-RM69. Nothing ever goes over RM70.00.
Leneys - RM59.00
Leneys - RM63.00
They categorized their updates using Collection. The latest collection is Collection 19. Leneys update every Friday at 8.30pm.

Leneys Albums
However not all of their dresses are unique, you may want to look through a few other online sites or blogshop to get the lowest price and check on which site is giving free delivery.

Check out the dresses below which are also found on other sites. Some sites offer different colours as well!
Leneys RM69.00
Doublewoot RM69.00
Doublewoot RM69.00

Leneys RM69.00
Leneys RM69.00

Zavia Valora - RM69.00
For the above dress, you can see that Leneys do not have red colour while Zavia Valora offers red for those who love red colour.

The sizes available are mostly S and M. No L sizes.

From the comments on the page, the customer service seems satisfactory and Leneys always engage interactions with the customers. They will post interesting fashion or facts and get the customers to like or comment.

Leneys tagline is Leneys make everyone beautiful. Do you think so?

Joyce Wong v Daphne Iking

First time to have local bloggers for comparison.

Both are wearing dress from online site Doublewoot. My guess is both of them have been sponsored by Doublewoot. If you are interested, you can check out their blog for further details. Pictures are taken from Doublewoot facebook page.

Daphne Iking is wearing a soft pink with the ribbon sash while Joyce Wong went for a more funky look with red colour and no girly ribbon sash.

Who do you prefer more?

Doublewoot

As promised, here is the review on Doublewoot. Sorry for the delay, needed more time to gather the pictures and information.

Doublewoot is a local online site based in Penang. They used to be a blogshop but they launched their own website this year. The website is simple to view, not too colourful and very informative.

They also have a facebook page and keep their customers updated with the launch of every collection. They update every Thursday and Sunday.

Doublewoot is owned by two sisters Helen and Heliene. You can find their pictures posted on their facebook page (see below). They were also featured in local newspaper the Star previously.

Their dresses are simple. Plain colours, straight forward cutting, subtle and nothing fancy. A lot of them are suitable for work wear. They are famous for selling flare dress or also known as skater dress.

Pastel colours, making a huge wave now
Back to the 70s, polka dot comeback

Great photoshopping skill. You can see that from their pictures on facebook. All pictures looked really professional.

They sell most designer inspired pieces from Rouland Mouret, Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham, Karen Millen to street style Topshop and Dorothy Perkins.

Upon their success in these few years, they now have their own label as well. Here is one of their in house design, Darla.

Darla by Doublewoot - RM70.00
Their prices are average. It used to be cheaper but maybe because of the new website, a lot of dresses are at RM70.00 or more than that. When they were operating via blogshop, most of the time the price are fixed at RM69.00.

I used to be a Doublewoot customer. I purchased quite a few dresses from them but stopped doing so as I slowly see a lot of other online sites selling the same design. No matter how nice a dress is, you would not want to be caught dead in the same dress as another person IN PUBLIC. You can check out Curves Boutique, IIvory Couture, Attire Attic and Pandora DeBoutique. They sell similar designs as well.

But note on the postage! Always remember to calculate postage as cost of your dress! Don’t be lazy to do your math!

Doublewoot is now doing promotion and they are giving free Poslaju delivery and trust me, they post out your order FAST. So if you like their dresses, go and shop your hearts out!
They also ship internationally. You can find the rates on their website.
Lately Doublewoot have been using celebrity bloggers to promote their site. Good and bad for that. More people knowing means more people buying and that would mean more people wearing the same dress around town. Well, its all up to you, if you really love the design of the dress, why not?

Plus, there is a promotion of RM5 discount now if you key in any of the codes provided in these blogs below. You will need to key in the codes upon checkout at Doublewoot's website.

If you want to fully utilize the discount, buy one and key in one code. Get the RM5 discount. Place another separate order and key in another code, get RM5 discount. Do that till you exhaust out all the bloggers code. Its free delivery as well so DO THE MATH!

This is such a long post but I hope its helpful!

Here or there?

Brief update!

A reader dropped me an email saying she is interested in the below two dresses and asked me if I have seen it before elsewhere.

Well, yes I do. So here it goes.

As reviewed before, Curves Boutique sell their dresses at RM70.
The other online site that sells the same dress as them is Doublewoot.

Curves Boutique - RM70.00
Doublewoot - RM69.00
Not much difference. Just RM1.

Curves Boutique - RM70.00
Doublewoot - RM70.00
Both online shop are selling the above same dress at the same price, RM70.00.

However you might want to consider about the postage charges.

Curves Boutique gives free delivery for purchase of 5 pieces and above.

Doublewoot gives free delivery for purchase of RM100 and above. So basically you need to buy 2 dresses and postage is FREE!

Always remember to add your postage cost and average out the price of the dress. That way, you can get the best value out of online shopping!

Although you might think that its okay to pay more since the dresses get delivered right at your doorstep, well think again. If other online site can give free delivery and still earn profit, why can't this online site provide free delivery?

Its good to be spoilt by choices and hey, competition is healthy for consumers *winks* May the best site with the best deal wins!
