Glam Stage

First of all, sorry for the slow updates! Been busy busy busy!

Today's post is about this new shopping site known as Glam Stage.

Glam Stage is another online shopping site that runs mainly using Facebook. They were established back in March 2012 so they are considered new to the crowd!

New competitior in joining the crowd of popular online shopping sites like Doublewoot, IIvory Couture, Curves Boutique and Attire Attic.

Why do I say that? Mainly because the line of clothes they are selling are the same. Not all, mostly the same. So for shoppers who love designs from Doublewoot, IIvory Couture, Curves Boutique and Attire Attic, you do not have to worry if you can't secure your favourite dresses cause its OUT OF STOCK or SOLD OUT, you have more options now!

Although Attire Attic is recently taking a change in their collection, not so many office wear but more to casual wear. You might not necessarily see the same designs you see in Doublewoot, IIvory Couture and Curves Boutiques now at Attire Attic.

So GLAM STAGE! Name also damn GLAMOUR-kan. Here are some of the information you might want to know about them, taken from their own Facebook Page.

They do not provide POSLAJU delivery so far as I know. Only registered mail. They are based in Kuala Lumpur.

One thing that they have that most of the online shopping sites dont is they have their prices in SGD as well. So I'm guessing they have quite a huge customer base in Singapore.

For example the dress below

Here is the pricing in the picture below. You can clearly sees the price for Ringgit Malaysia (RM) and Singapore Dollar (SGD). And wow, they are earning quite a bit from Singaporeans ah. SGD40.90 is RM98.16.

Well but sweat not, the price in SGD is including postage! HEHE so not that bad LAH!!
I have previously blogged about this dress at Fake Victoria Beckham. You can check out the prices there. Here is a quick one for your easy reference.

Doublewoot RM69.00 Curves Boutique RM70.00

This design is so far not spotted on IIvory Couture and Attire Attic yet. As far as prices are concerned Doublewoot is the cheapest. Maybe Glam Stage should check out their competitors more and reduce on their selling price. Not to mention that Curves Boutique and Doublewoot gives out free postage as well.

Here is another design that can you get to see in these few boutiques.

I am not saying it is bad but just think twice before you buy because the more boutique selling it means more people will be wearing it and you don't want to be caught in a situation where you are face to face with someone who is wearing the same piece as you.

On the other hand, it is good news for those who doesn't mind to be seen wearing it because if one boutique doesnt have stock, you know you always have other options *winks*

I have bought from all of those boutiques and I will do a write up about all of them soon. Comparing their service, prices and quality of garments. It will be a long post though. HAHA.

Until then, hope you enjoyed this post!

My Victoria Secret

Anyone a big fan of Victoria Secret? Well I am. Especially their swimwear.

From the moment I got my own Victoria Secret bikini, I have never thought of buying any other brand. Simply because of how comfortable it is.

I have tried buying some really cheap bikinis online but the quality is disastrous. The padding is lousy. After a few wash/swim, the padding makes your boobs look weird. The strings to the bikini top is not strong enough. You tie it then after a few moments, you can feel air coming into your boobs. Not protected and safe at all!

So after a lot of lousy online bikinis, I decided to invest in one which is good. This is mainly because I love swimming so I would need one that is good to last for long term. My first buy was a year back and I LOVE IT!!!! I told myself to buy more when they are having sales! Cause to be honest, it is very pricey for a Victoria Secret bikini if it is not on sale because the shipping charges is quite expensive.

I found out that Victoria Secret is having their swimwear sale right now and I quickly grab the opportunity to get some good deals. I went online and browse through a few designs! I quickly added the items into the shopping bag and proceeded to checkout. Delivery normally takes 2-3 weeks. They will send you an email upon confirmation of your order and shipment as well so no worries *winks*

I manage to find something I like and the prices are reasonable. Victoria Secret sells their bikini separately. The top and the bottom. The price for the top is usually USD35-25 depending on the design while the bottom is usually from USD19-12.

I manage to get a USD9.99 for the top and bottom! USD19.98 for one set! CHEAP OR NOT? That is less than RM60.00 for a bikini! Even Roxy's bikini is RM100++.

Then another set with stripes print is a little bit more expensive but WHAT THE HELL. They charge your shipping according to your total purchase amount so no harm adding another set la. HAHAHAHA

See the shipping charges below. You can get this information from their website.

After all the online clicking (and paying), I was really happy to receive my parcel last weekend! Here are they~~~

I feel in love the moment I saw this design on Victoria Secret website. Simply because I was attracted to the colours and the design of the bottom as well.

And you can be assured of its hygiene as there is a sticker protecting any crazy bacterias from a person's touch. Though I would still recommend you all to wash it before you wear la. No harm to stay on the safe side right?

This is the USD 9.99 for the top and bottom bikini! NICE RIGHT!
Victoria Secret is damn nice. They give you a USD3 catalogue for free! It comes together in the parcel. Either that is their ultimate trick to make you buy more or they have loads of it to give it away free. I enjoyed flipping through the catalogue and well, also because you can't get a copy of this catalogue anywhere! Heheheehe.

I'm so so happy with my new bikinis collection that I can't wait to go for a beach holiday or just to go for a swim! HAHAHAHA.

Trying them out! Sorry for the low quality of the pictures and my not so Victoria Secret angelic body >"<

Go get your Victoria Secret bikini now especially when the swimwear sale is still on! Never too expensive to invest in a good bikini! They have sizes and designs for every type of body! Push up no push up, sexy, sporty, girly, colourful, prints, solid colours and the list goes on!

Friendly Fashion - Your One Stop Solution

If you are a big time online shopper like me, you would love this!

You know how there is risk when you shop online? You never know the true quality of the fabric, the length, the size, the colour and all. When you receive your parcel and saw the real deal, you don't like it. There is pretty much nothing you can do about it. So you just hide it in your closet in some godforsaken small area and never see it again.

Well why waste the space? If it doesn't suits you, it doesn't mean it is useless right?

Here is your ultimate solution to this problem --> Friendly Fashion.

Friendly Fashion is a one stop platform for people to sell, swap or giveaway what they don't use or not suitable anymore. I call it the SSG solution! Why waste space and have it in your closet to collect dust when you can earn some extra cash or be an angel and give it for free or better still, swap for something that you like!

Besides the SSG solution, you get to meet people who are crazy online shoppers like you, share your experience about online shopping, fashion tips etc. Friendly Fashion also has a blog where they mix and match cool styles for your reference, introduce cool fashion stylista local bloggers. Isnt that everything under the sun?

Friendly Fashion runs via their website. You need to register and be a member to start the SSG. You can also like them on facebook for fashion style updates.

Friendly Fashion Facebook Page
Friendly Fashion is not only for girls! They have Male section as well. Fair to everybody right? No sexist or discrimation talk yoz~~

Friendly Fashion is also recently been awarded to be the online shop of the year by Digi WOWWOW Awards. You can tell how WOWsome it is! =D

Their website is also very user friendly. You post the picture of the garment you are selling or swapping or giving away on the website. Anyone who is interested in it will click on the I WANT button. From thereon, you just communicate with the interested parties on the T&C, mailing and postage charges.

You can see from the screen capture below that the right side of the site shows you the information about the owner.

So you might ask, what if there are dishonest people? Well, for the crooks out there, Y U SO JAHAT? We can't avoid people from doing bad things, but we can always hope that we meet good people. Before you enter into any SSG with a person, you can always check on the member profile. There are like fb likes for feedback. So the more thumbs up you see, the more trustworthy the member is and you will feel safe to deal with the person.

Alternatively, you can browse through the member list and see who has a lot of LIKES. You can then click into their profile and check out what they have for SSG.

In case you get lost, don't fret. There is a FAQ tab on Friendly Fashion website. If you are a bit skeptical with the idea of SSG, take your time and read through the FAQ. It is very comprehensive and covers almost all the doubts you have!

You can really get cheap deals there and it does not only have dresses but shoes as well! OMG! I promise you that the moment you see the price, your heart will skip a beat! Cheap deals and who doesn't like cheap deals? HAHAHAHA

See the picture above? The dress at the bottom left priced at RM50.00? That dress is a sold out piece on Doublewoot and Attire Attic with a selling price of RM69.00. For those who missed out on that dress, you can get it now at only RM50.00! Cool or not?

And this La Senza lingerie. OMG SO CHEAP! RM55.00 SAHAJA?

The best thing about Friendly Fashion is that you don't have to be dealing with SSG to visit the website. You can go to their blog and browse their fashion tips. I am personally really loving that section. Even match up with nail polish as well. So attentive *loves*

So what are you waiting for? Register as a member and start the SSG going on. I can't wait to go through my wardrobe and start taking pictures for the SSG!

Have to thank the 2 sisters Nadzirah and Diyana that started the website to clear off their closet and end up turning the website into a cool community for girls to share and SSG!

Zalora.com

I bet the whole world is buzzing about this new online shopping site - Zalora.comIts popping up everywhere like mushrooms. Every website you visit, you will see the ad. Its forcing you to give attention to it.

Well, after a hefty read up, one would have never guessed that it is actually a German company

Rocket Internet GmbH was founded in 2007 and Zalando is their e-commerce retail companies found in Germany.

It was just last year in November that they launched ZALORA Singapore and its part of the ZALORA Asia which consists of ZALORA Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philipines, Vietnam and Indonesia.

It attracted loads of attention not just because they are everywhere but the job opportunities that they are able to offer to the people.
Zalora Malaysia Website
And they go all out on their marketing by placing numerous ads and engaging bloggers to write about them. One of Malaysia's noted fashion blogger Cheesie was one of them. You can read about it on her blog at cheeserland.
Wide selection to satisfy all your needs!
Not only do they target the female shoppers, you can get clothes for your boyfriend, brother, father, husband, guy friend etc as well. Clothes and shoes, what more can you ask for?

You can easily search them on facebook whereby each country has their own facebook page. Zalora Malaysia, Zalora Singapore and so on. Like their page and stay updated on their events and fashion sales. They also have a twitter account!
Their website is of course impressive bearing in mind the financial standing they have. Here are some pros that will get you excited!

(1) Free delivery nationwide and its by GDEX.

(2)They accept all kind of payments from paypal to credit cards.
(3)They provide Return policy as well as long as it is within 30 days.

(4)They take phone orders and even 'cash on delivery' service if you want.

(5) Sign up for their newsletter and get a RM20 voucher!

I read a few blogs about their shopping experience and most of them are actually sponsored by them so of course its all the sugary honey stuffs. Luckily my hard work reading paid off when I came across a shopper that had a bad encounter with Zalora Malaysia.

*OMG the shopper dropped a comment and its a SHE! Sorry for the mistake Widad!*

The shopper made payment for a pair of shoes and did not receive the goods. She was obviously unhappy and after a bad experience with Zalora customer service, she decided she doesn't want the shoes anymore and wanted a refund.

Zalora replied her and provided an attachment proving the refund has been transferred into the shopper's account. To the shopper's horror, not only did they not refund, the attachment was actually the shopper's print screen transaction of the payment she made.

She posted screen capture of the emails and some facebook comments as well. Read it here if you are interested. However, the entry was blogged in Malay language.

So well, I am still browsing the website to see if there is anything that I want to buy. I hope this post is helpful as Zalora review was suggested by one of the readers. I will share my shopping experience with you all when I have one!

Anyone a Zalora shopper? Come share your experience!

Curves Boutique - Shoppers Feedback 1

First of all, I would like to thank this shopper who choose to remain anonymous for giving us her feedback and her shopping experience.

I know that a lot of readers out there might think that I bash other shopping sites and put them down. But hey, if you don't like it, don't read it. There are readers out there that appreciates and wanted to share their shopping experience to caution other shoppers. I believe any online addict shoppers will like to know all information about a particular online site before buying.

This shopper messaged me on facebook telling me about her shopping experience with Curves Boutique. Her name is S for the purpose of this context. All her details are hidden for her own privacy.
S shopping experience with Curves Boutique
So she bought a dress, paid but did not received it.

Curves Boutique (CB) stated that there is a defect and asked S if she wants to change to another dress.

S is willing to accept the dress even though there is a defect but CB has already returned it to the factory.

Just a few questions running through:
(1) Payment was made on 31st May 2012 but she was only informed about the condition of the dress on 2nd June 2012.

Even if CB does not check all their stocks (assuming they did not), how would they know there is a defect? If they really do check, then why the 2 days delay in notifying the shopper about the defect?

(2) I believe when it comes to online shopping, its a first come first served basis and S is actually one of the earliest that made payment for the dress but was only informed about the defect 2 days later when she is actually expecting to receive the dress.

(3) It may just be S own theory that CB gave the dress to their own friends but considering S claimed that she has already paid for it and was one of the earliest to pay, it does not take a genius to be suspicious.

Well, let me know what you think and if anyone has ever experienced the same situation.

And just in case anyone thinks I am making this up (like I have nothing better to do), here is my reply to S asking her permission to post this and the following is her reply stating she would like to remain anonymous. We respect her wishes and couldn't thank her more for sharing her shopping experience.
My reply to S

S prefers to stay anonymous
Cheers to the shopper for speaking up!
